Talent Show Rules

1. Open to all OC residents

2. Contestant’s school grade limit is 4th through 12th.

3. No contestant will be considered if they:

4. Three finalists from each division will be chosen from auditions to perform at the Taste of Ladera.

5. Two alternates from each division may be chosen as standbys.

6. Limit one contestant per entry form.

7. Act must not exceed five minutes

8. Finalists and standbys must be at the event one hour prior to your scheduled stage time.

9. Contestants will compete against each other within their own division.

10. Contestants will use the same act as auditioned.

11. Contestants and finalists must furnish any equipment needed for their act for both the audition and Taste of Ladera performance. A professional sound system will be furnished at the audition and Taste of Ladera.

12. No contestant may have live professional backup.

13. If providing background music, no tape, CD or other recording may have the lead singer on it at all. Background voices cannot exceed more than 50% of the recording. There must be ample time for the judges to hear contestant’s voice with absolutely no voice over. Judges have final say on this ruling.

14. Contestants may participate in one act only.

15. Contestants with the best scores from the preliminary judges will advance to the finals at Taste of Ladera

16. Performance must be family orientated. Judges have sole discretion to refuse any act.
